Chapter 2: Open It Up and Let It Be
We landed on the planet. I could see the unfamiliar rock formations and the unfamiliar sky through the windows. Naomi got up from her seat and turned to the window. She looked out over the terrain. Her eyes peered over each little rock. She smiled softly and sighed.
"I have only seen this place in photos," she explained. "It's odd being here now. It's so strange seeing this place in person. I know where I need to go but the trouble is getting there without getting caught."
"Oh, is that all?" I laughed nervously. "That should be easy right?"
"It's not that easy," she pointed out. "Each of these rocks has a sensor in it. The moment we touch down on the floor, it's going to sense us."
"How does that work?" I asked.
"It forms a grid on the floor. It's like a pressure plate," she replied. "We step on the ground and since we aren't one of them, it will read our DNA and alert them to our presence."
